The location, good for the tube station and getting about London , the staff were very good. Nice and quiet hotel.clean and well maintained.

Had an enjoyable stay at Oxford Hotel Kensington. Quick check-in process (note shares reception with Merit Hotel Kensington at No 16-18). Very nice new modern rooms with excellent bathrooms, very upmarket with nice towels and amenities. Excellent location next to Earls Court underground station. Otherwise, for the price for Kensington, an excellent and great value hotel!

Did have an issue with safe not functioning, which could not be fixed despite efforts of staff. We were on lower ground floor so no views from our window.

He deposit 100£. It's really hassle for us tourist to know if the money got refunded to us, as they say we need to wait for a couple of weeks (again weeks). As we departed the hotel they should give us back the money in no time.cuz we don't have assurance that they will send it back.

Excellent and elegant location, near metro and buses; the breakfast was very good; clean and cozy room. The building is a labyrinth, but it was interesting to search for the room :)

The staff was nice and friendly, except one blonde employer from the reception, she had an arrogant and unfriendly attitude.

Oxford hotel is being refurbished so we were put in the Merit Kensington about 3 doors down which had been beautifully updated. Shown to a minute double after booking a twin! Eventually offered a 3 bed room. Bathroom in first room was a walk in shower, 2nd room was an over bath shower very difficult to get into due to fixed shower screen and no grab rail very ,very slippery. Requested the offered none slip bathmat but not available! Bearing in mind I was on crutches not easy but underfloor heating bliss! We the had to go back to Oxford House for a ‘continental’ breakfast, how can anyone ruin that?! We were sat in a corridor as the main room was busy. No offers of help for me at all! Coffee very very strong, cereal cornflakes, cornflakes or muesli, cheese warm and sweaty, could see boiled eggs on othe tables but none available ad staff scarce at 0900. Next fire alarm went off no staff around at all so we all sat tight fo a bit as we said we were near an exit with stairs to the street. Eventually a member of staff appeared and to be casually said it was a test when asked then wandered off! Lovely looking rolls and bread all stale not helped by the warm overhead lights which also warmed up the fruit juices!

Lack of cleanliness

Basic but very good value for the price and ideal for a nice and safe location. Beds were clean and comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was basic but good for the price with cereals, juice and toast.

Scaffolding at the windows. Can't be helped if building work going on but wasn't a nice view. Cannot fault otherwise although one bed did have a dodgy headboard

Great location, just off the Earl's court underground station and easy to find. Fair amount of restaurants and take away shops around the station. There were a few good looking pubs as well. The check in process was easy and straight forward and the reception staff friendly.

The TV worked but had no remote control in the room, old dusty and worn out carpets. The breakfast time was only from 0730 hrs onwards which I thought was pretty late when the hotel is located in central London. Having had to leave early, when I asked the staff of the possibility of an early breakfast, I thought that the staff were quite rude and unaccommodating.

Good affordable hotel. Decent bath and hot water. Basic desk and TV. Good place for a couple of nights. Basic breakfast.

The bathroom exhaust fan was not working, fan was not working No good ventilation, They dumped all removed plywood in front of the window

Friendly staff and good location.

The place is in need of renovation. Paint and bad wood. In a double bed, one half was a bit lower and you could feel the springs. You will probably be lucky soon because it looks like they have started renovations. The breakfast is very simple, bread, cheese and jam or cereals served in the basement.

It had an old school feeling. I think it will be nice once the construction project is complete.

- It would have been good to know that they were in the middle of a construction project - Breakfast was similar to dorm food (toast, boiled egg, 1 cereal) - Everywhere you looked there was storage in plane site. Need to have less clutter in visie areas. - Blankets were thin. Prefer comforters.

VERY NOISY ! During the day (no nap for me) builders in, scaffolding etc. VERY NOISY !
